About Charlotte Brady

Charlotte Brady is a long-time meditation practitioner who began studying yoga in 1990. She completed her teacher training in 2005 in the lineage of Krishnamacharya, often called the father of modern yoga, and started focusing on yogic philosophy in the vedic tradition, especially through the lens of Nisargadatta Maharaj, an Indian 20th century sage.

A series of deep spiritual experiences took her directly into the peace of presence of being and it has never left her. She is currently studying Sanskrit to deepen her understanding of both the Vedic (consciousness) and Tantric (felt sense) meditation tradition to better communicate her insight and allow for a constant evolution and deepening of knowing, being, seeing what is.

Charlotte has 18 years’ experience of teaching yoga, meditation, and mindfulness. Most recently she has been collaborating with Executive Health, a state-of-the-art health screening company in Sweden, giving guided meditation sessions with a focus on stress management.

Although influenced by many traditions, Charlotte doesn’t adhere to any one school of thought but focuses directly on the presence of being, inherent in all. She founded Stillness at Heart to expand her work in service of what unites us all.

She is also an author who has published five books of poems and one novel.

“The primary purpose of meditation is to be conscious of and familiar with, our inner life. The ultimate purpose is to reach the source of life and consciousness.” ~ Nisargadatta Maharaj
